
RAVI IYER was born on the 2nd of June 1968 in MUMBAI.
After completing his graduation in PHYSICS, he later established himself in the field of music since the late 80s.
Born and brought up in a musically inclined family he has been exposed to Indian classical music from the very beginning. He first received formal training in Indian percussion instrument (Tabla), between the age of 8 and 12 years and also has stood gold medalist in a solo Tabla performance during an inter school music competition held during that period.
In the year 1985 he then took a liking towards guitar and western music and began his formal training in guitar music. He has been trained under reputed tutors and musicians like Mr. Bismark, Mr. Christopher Rodiques and Mr. John Timothy to whom he is indebted for helping him to take up music as a profession being a guitar player.
Since the year 1989- 1990, Ravi Iyer has been performing to live audiences as professional guitar player with his rock band WITCHHAMMER , then in 1990 and now in his new outfit called PARA VAYU.
He is not only well versed in the styles of rock, blues, funk, jazz rock but he is also equally proficient in fusion and world music too. He already has to his credit, his debut solo album titled ROCKING RAGA (which is a guitar instrumental album featuring some of his favorite Hindustani classical ragas.).
Ravi Iyer is always enthusiastic about learning new forms of music and to experiment with varied styles and genres of music.

SHAKIR KHAN belongs to the 8th generation of the famous Etawah Gharana. He is the eldest son and disciple of Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan. Shakir gave his first public recital at the age of 11. He has performed in prestigious music conferences in India including the Dover Lane Music Conference (Kolkata), Saptak Music Festival (Ahmedabad), Bombay Festival (Mumbai) and many more. He has also performed in the U.S and Europe. Shakir has had the honor of accompanying his father on stage and has been appreciated as a prodigious talent by great masters such as Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Ustad Zakir Hussain. The ghazal maestro, Ghulam Ali, was so impressed by Shakir’s playing that he insisted on taking him into the recording studio. Shakir Khan is a promising and talented young artist with an exquisite sense of sur and laya reflected through his performance. He has distinguished himself by winning a Government of India merit scholarship and first prize at the All India Radio (AIR) Music Competition.
